Ecrothan® polyurethane dispersions and PU-acrylic hybrid dispersions are specially developed for applications requiring maximum durability in a beautiful finish, e.g. for industrial wood. Available in grades for hard surfaces and flexible substrates, including 100% cosolvent-free grades.

Optimized for low VOC interior wall paints, this emulsion provides excellent wet scrub resistance due to outstanding pigment binding power of the binder in heavily-filled systems. It also offers very good abrasion resistance and hiding power and is APE free.

Application Data

This emulsion is compatible with most common additives, pigments and pigment preparations and can be combined with other emulsions. Due to the variety of products in the market, compatibility and storage stability have to be tested from case to case. Polyurethane thickeners are highly recommended but most commercial thickeners can be used. Due to the low minimum film forming temperature of this emulsion it is not mandatory to add coalescing agents. For application properties of the final product it might be helpful to add co-solvents like butyl glycol, butyl diglycol, Texanol or glycolether.
