Primer for metal and paper substrates promoting good adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in strong bond strength as well as excellent water and chemical resistance. It may also be used as a low temperature heat seal coating for bonding aluminum foil to itself or to paper.

Application Data
Michem® Flex P1883 may be applied via flexo, gravure or smooth roll coater. When possible, corona or flame treat substrates prior to priming and dry thoroughly with hot, circulating air. May be used for in-line or off-line processes. Recommended application weight as an extrusion primer is between 0.1 - 1.0 dry g/m2. Heat seal coatings require heavier application weights, typically 1-3 dry g/m2. EZ Cup Viscosity - #3 Cup, 17 - 19 sec.
