(Maleated polypropylene dispersion)

As a film former for fiberglass sizing formulations this product is used to reinforce polypropylene. It provides an excellent balance between mechanical properties and color and is suitable for sizings for chopped strands as well as for continuous fiber. As a binder it provides block resistance for soft goods. This product is APE free.

(Maleated polypropylene dispersion)

This sizing polymer provides exceptionally tight particle size control for fiberglass and other fibers used to reinforce polypropylene. It provides excellent strand integrity in chopped strand applications and contributes to great mechanical properties in the final composite. It is characterized by its small and very consistent mean particle size. As a binder it provides block resistance for soft goods. This product is APE free.

Michem® Emulsion 11226

(Cationic polypropylene emulsion)

Useful as an additive in fiberglass sizing formulations used to reinforce polypropylene. This emulsion has a very high molecular weight, similar to a polypropylene coupling agent. The molecular weight enhancement should provide additional properties to the fiberglass, not achieved with standard low molecular weight polypropylenes. Being cationic in nature it should provide better adhesion to the glass fibers when processing and forming.

(Ethylene acrylic acid dispersion)

Provides outstanding adhesion to both metallic and cellulosic substrates, and enhances the water, grease, oil and solvent resistance of coatings and adhesives. Can serve as a tie coat or primer for extrusion coatings, a foil laminate, a specialty paper coating, a paper sizing agent, a heat sealable coating, nonwoven binder and can also be used as a thermally active binder in thermal transfer release coatings.

Provides improved adhesion to polyolefin substrates and also exhibits excellent adhesion to paper, metallic and polymeric substrates as well as glass and polyester scrim. It can serve as a tie coat or primer and increases printability on metallic and polymeric substrates. It can be used as a heat sealable coating on most polymeric films, paper and foil.
