Tubes & Cores
Cylinder board construction forms are barrier-coated inside and out. Coated board is abrasion resistant, water resistant, and offers excellent release when the concrete has set.
Properties That Affect Tubes & Cores
Catalyst P1: Catalyst P1 is one part of a two part silicone release coating. This coating system provides release for virgin-rubber, asphalt and gum based products from corrugated containers eliminating the need for costly plastic bags. This system is not gluable.
Coating X300™ AF: Coating X300™AF provides high levels of water resistance and good moisture resistance for kraft paper. Coating X300™ AF protects food products from excessive moisture, freezer burn, and sticking. When diluted for mill application, it is an economical sizing agent. Gluability with hot melt adhesives is excellent, but cold set gluing is not recommended.
Coating X300™ Plus: Coating X300™ Plus provides high levels of water resistance and good moisture resistance for kraft paper with improved water resistance over Coating X300™. Coating X300™ Plus protects food products from excessive moisture, freezer burn, and sticking. Gluability with hot melt adhesives is excellent, but cold set gluing is not recommended.
Release Coat® 30: Release Coat® 30 is a lower solids, economical, one component coating that provides superior release for a variety of "sticky" products such as hot asphalt. Because it is a one component release system, it eliminates mixing and leftover material disposal. This product is neither hot melt nor cold set gluable.
Release Coat® 40: Release Coat® 40 is an easy-to-use one component silicone emulsion coating that provides superior release for a variety of "sticky" products such as hot asphalt. Because it is a one component release system, it eliminates mixing and leftover material disposal. This product is neither hot melt nor cold set gluable.
Release Coat® P1: Release Coat® P1 is one part of a two part silicone release coating. A catalyzed release coat system offers superior release and in most cases FDA compliance. This system is not gluable.
Resisto Coat™ 39AF: Resisto Coat™ 39AF provides excellent, economical abrasion protection. It is used throughout the appliance industry as a protective finish on cornerposts and top pads. This product is hot melt gluable only.
Resisto Coat™ PLUS: Resisto Coat™ Plus is a low cost, dilute, non-abrasive coating. It is used throughout the appliance industry as a protective finish on cornerposts and top pads. Resisto Coat™ Plus is gluable only with hot melt adhesives. Cold set adhesives will not bond Resisto Coat ™ Plus.
