Mold Release is a solventborne polyethylene emulsion that eliminates the high stress between a mold and the molded part, typically used for ceramics. This additive is best used in water based coatings where improved slip, rub resistance, hardness and/or block resistance is needed. It can be used as an additive to paper coatings, wood coatings, metal coatings, overprint varnishes, floor polish and other water based coatings where slip and hardness are required, without significant degradation of gloss.
