Ecrovin® LV 470

Brand Family Overview

VaporCoat® recyclable water-based coatings confer high barrier to paper-based packaging and wraps. Most VaporCoat grades are designed for “low MVTR”, to retard water vapor transmission in order to keep perishables fresh, frozen goods intact, or sensitive contents in factory condition. In response to market interest for greater food safety and preservation, additional VaporCoat products can inhibit contaminants ordinarily found in recycled paper from migrating into packaged dry food.

Application Data

This emulsion is compatible with most additives, pigments and pigment preparations and can be combined with other emulsions. Due to the variety of product in the market, compatibility and storage stability have to be tested from case to case. Polyurethane thickeners are highly recommended but most commercial thickeners can be used. Due to the low minimum film forming temperature of this emulsion it is not mandatory to add coalescing agents. For application properties of the final product it might be helpful to add co-solvents like butyl glycol, butyl diglycol, Texanol or glycol ether. For Storage and Safety information see Material Safety Data Sheet.
