PCL 500

Brand Family Overview

VaporCoat® recyclable water-based coatings confer high barrier to paper-based packaging and wraps. Most VaporCoat grades are designed for “low MVTR”, to retard water vapor transmission in order to keep perishables fresh, frozen goods intact, or sensitive contents in factory condition. In response to market interest for greater food safety and preservation, additional VaporCoat products can inhibit contaminants ordinarily found in recycled paper from migrating into packaged dry food.

Designed to reduce hot plate frictional drag and improve board quality, this paper lubricant is applied to linerboard at the wet end of the doublebacker. In addition, PCL500 eliminates the smoky vapor cloud at the doublebacker caused by oil based lubricants. Properly diluted, it is gluable and printable.
