Brand Family Overview

VaporCoat® recyclable water-based coatings confer high barrier to paper-based packaging and wraps. Most VaporCoat grades are designed for “low MVTR”, to retard water vapor transmission in order to keep perishables fresh, frozen goods intact, or sensitive contents in factory condition. In response to market interest for greater food safety and preservation, additional VaporCoat products can inhibit contaminants ordinarily found in recycled paper from migrating into packaged dry food.

A Kosher approved coating which provides excellent water resistance, moisture barrier, oil/grease resistance, and frozen meat release. When properly applied over a base coat, this repulpable coating is recommended as a replacement for some curtain coated wax applications, poly laminated board, and plastic bags.

Application Data

VaporCoat® 2202 is best applied using a rod coater. If applied over a base coat, excellent performance can be achieved at application rates of 2-3 wet lbs./MSF.
