If you’re a converter, you’ll find the high level of control, flexibility and ease-of-use of Michem® Flex coatings will allow you to quickly take advantage of new market and sales opportunities.

Our Michem® Flex family of water-based coatings is designed specifically for converters of flexible packaging substrates. It allows converters to take control of the coating process, and maintain flexible and lean inventory levels based on need.

Michem Flex coatings are self-priming and can be applied from a single in-house coating station. This eliminates the need to stock specialty grades of pre-primed or pre-coated films. Converters can now stock less expensive untreated film, and apply the coating on an as-needed, just-in-time basis. These fully formulated coatings are also effective at very thin coating thicknesses compared to traditional alternatives, further reducing material costs.

Converters can now process a wide variety of substrates and produce a range of specialty coated films. Our Michem Flex customers also enjoy trouble-free processing and fast packaging speeds, with minimal energy consumption.

Michem® Flex P1831: Michem® Flex P1831 is a primer for metal and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in exceptionally high bond strength.

Michem® Flex HS-100: Michem® Flex HS-100 is a self-priming, low temperature, heat seal coating for plastic films for Flexible Packaging applications. Patent Pending

Michem® Flex HS-333: Michem® Flex HS-333 is a heat sealable slip coating for paper and metal substrates. This product is not currently available in Europe.

Michem® Flex P1801: Michem®Flex P1801 is a primer for film and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in excellent bond strength. Suitable for bioplastic substrates and extrudates, as well as resins extruded at low temperatures. This product has been formulated with non-petroleum based content.

Michem® Flex P1850: Michem® Flex P1850 is a primer for film, metal and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in exceptionally high bond strength.

Michem® Flex P1852: Michem® Flex P1852 is a Primer for film, metal and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in high bond strength. This product exhibits superior weatherability and chemical resistance to aggressive package contents such as water, oils, flavors and fragrances. This product is also suitable for resins extruded at low temperatures.

Michem® Flex P1883: Michem® Flex P1883 is a general purpose primer for metal and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in strong bond strength and chemical resistance.
