CINCINNATI, OH (September 27, 2011) – Michelman has introduced Michem® Coat 40Y, a versatile and reliable new barrier coating for paper and corrugated. By using advanced raw materials and proprietary formulation techniques, Michelman has produced a coating that is water, oil and grease resistant and features good release properties. It is hot melt and coldset gluable, and is completely repulpable and recyclable.
Michem Coat 40Y also maintains stability and can be applied smoothly on rod, blade or roll coaters, either inline or offline. It is FDA compliant, and can be used for a wide variety of applications including food contact with items such as produce and other perishables, as well as general industrial and retail.
