CINCINNATI, OH (April 18, 2014) – Michelman took home an Innovation Award from the Cincinnati Business Courier at an awards ceremony held April 10, 2014. The company received the award in the Engineering category. According to the Business Courier, “the winner achieved a significant milestone in advanced engineering – where technology is used to design a product.”Winners were chosen by a team of MBA students who evaluated the nomination submission against a set of criteria that included the value of the product or service, what makes it unique and third-party sources of validation. Dr. Rick Michelman, Chief Technology Officer at Michelman, accepted the award.
Dr. Michelman noted the opening of the company’s Advanced Materials Collaboration Center at Michelman’s headquarters in Blue Ash, Ohio. The new facility was funded through a grant from the Ohio Third Frontier Industrial Research and Development Center Program and is designed to help expedite the development and commercialization of new technologies.
