General Summary

This position will support in developing South Asia (India, SEA, Australia & New Zealand) strategy and executing plans for South Asia businesses and play a pivotal role in doing so by presenting a detailed business plan and expansion strategy for South Asia. Formulating innovative and ambitious execution strategy to optimize revenue and profitability for the Company. The selected candidate will directly report to Vice President-Sales Asia & Managing Director India. The candidate will be based at our Mumbai office.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Business Performance

·        Responsible for the topline and bottom-line performance for Michelman South Asia

·        Manage the South Asia (India, SEA, Australia & New Zealand) sales for all business verticals of Michelman with key focus on profitable sales growth and market leadership.

·        Leading current and future commercial teams in South Asia and be the mentor and guide for them.

·        Monitoring the business Key Performance indicators and ensure that the actual performance is in accord with the annual plans and budgets of the Company

·        Gauge, identify and detail the growth opportunities for Michelman in South Asia

·        Lead from the front for doing business development activities in South Asia

·        Leading and motivating the teams for achievement of business goals and the Company’s overall objectives

 

Professional Duties

·        To act in the best interests of the Company, its shareholders, associates, customers and suppliers, and the communities within which the Company operates

·        To use such personal and professional skills and experience to deliver on the Company’s growth strategies and initiatives

·        To manage, lead and operate by the Company’s values/behaviors, and to be the leader by example

·        To ensure understanding of and compliance to the objectives and policies for the Company, including its purpose and vision

·        To ensure that Company decisions are fully, promptly and properly completed

 

Education, experience and skills required

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or technical discipline and an MBA from a reputed institute

·        Must possess up-to 20 years of total experience in sales leadership at country level with a top Indian or international company.  

·        Incumbent should have strong experience in strategy formulation and execution

·        Deep understanding of critical business drivers in multiple markets, segments and industries

·        Demonstrates high level of integrity and trustworthiness

·        Excellent verbal, written and listening communications skills in English

·        Strong inter-personal and leadership qualities
