General Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Technician, Quality Assurance & Samples to join our Quality Assurance team. In this entry-level role, you will perform basic wet chemistry quality control on finished products being prepared for shipment to customers through standard work processes.  In addition, you will prepare and package samples of products to ship to customers.  You will support a variety of quality responsibilities related to the manufacturing, testing, and release of the product.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing

• Evaluate and release finished goods and raw materials

• Identify work-off solutions for non-conforming product (blend-off process)

• Maintain traceability of testing results and liquid retain samples

• Support the quality system processes for the site

• Maintain quality control lab, safety and housekeeping (5S), lab supplies

• Use computer system (JDE/Salesforce) to input and review data

• Support ISO internal audits and data audits

• Ensure compliance with established Good Manufacturing Practices

Critical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good math skills

• Ability to distinguish color (not color blind)

• Team player and maintain professional communication with other associates

• Lab safety and quality control testing best practices (calibration, document control, trace-ability)

• Ability to follow procedures and handle multiple task

• Proficient Microsoft Office skills

• Work independently with minimal supervision and handle projects through to completion

• Ability to make lab emulsions when necessary

• Willingness to work in a team environment

Other

• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Able to lift 25 kgs (50 lbs).

• Ability to perform off-office hours work

• Ability to perform for weekend work

Education and Experience

• Associates degree in science field and/or equivalent years working experience

• Quality control and/or quality assurance experience in an industrial setting preferred

• Quality system experience preferred (ISO-9000, Kosher, GMP)
