Currently, we have a great opportunity available for a Customer Account Specialist to join our Customer Service team. You will be responsible for providing professional and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that customer orders are processed timely and accurately. This role will report to the Logistics & Customer Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively within a highly matrixed global environment

• Receive customer orders that are phoned, faxed, mailed or sent electronically

• Ensure that all orders are entered timely and accurate

• Transmit order confirmations to customers

• Create new customer accounts and keep existing customer records up-to-date for contacts,

  requirements and preferences

• Manage customer orders through the entire order cycle from order entry to shipment,

  including generating shipping packets, scheduling transportation and ship confirming

• Interact with Production and Shipping departments to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of

  customer orders

• Work with Safety and Regulatory departments to ensure that all domestic and international

  shipments and associated documents are compliant with the relevant regulations for safety,

  transportation, customs and commerce

• Problem solve customer order issues, track and expedite orders

• Manage communication with Sales and other departments to proactively respond to customer

  needs and maintain customer satisfaction

• Answer customer questions or direct customer inquiries about our products, services and

  other business functions

• Constantly seek ways to improve the Customer Service processes

Critical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Positive attitude and customer service focus

• Knowledge of INCO terms, NAFTA and Haz Mat requirements a plus

• Import/Export knowledge a Plus.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Excellent oral and written communications

• Exceptional prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Willingness to work in a team environment

• Flexibility to occasionally work beyond established hours

• Focus on career-oriented goals and growth objectives

Education and Experience

• High school diploma required, college degree preferred

• Two (2) or more years of customer service/inside sales or customer-facing experience required
