General Summary

Currently, we have a great opportunity available for a Customer Account Specialist to join our Customer Service team. You will be responsible for providing professional and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that customer orders are processed timely and accurately. This role will report to the Customer Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively within a highly matrixed, global environment
• Manage customer orders through the entire order cycle from order entry to shipment, including generating shipping packets, scheduling transportation and ship confirming of domestic and international orders
• Work collaboratively with Planning, Production and Shipping departments, including freight forwarders and customer brokers, to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of customer orders
• Work with Safety and Regulatory departments to ensure that all domestic and international shipments and associated documents are compliant with the relevant regulations for safety, transportation, customs and commerce
• As a customer advocate, manage communication with Sales and other departments to proactively respond to customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction
• Answer customer questions about our products, services and other business functions
• Proactively problem solve customer order issues, track and expedite orders, domestic and international

• Knowledge of INCO terms, NAFTA and Haz Mat requirements
• Import/Export, shipping and logistics knowledge
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Flexibility to occasionally work beyond established hours

Education and Experience

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Two (2) or more years of customer service/inside sales or customer facing experience required
• Experience in international/domestic shipping and logistics preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, Oracle / JDE preferred
• SalesForce (SFDC) Experience preferred
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus
