Michelman Announces Price Increase on Paper Coatings to Offset Rising Chemical and Energy Costs

CINCINNATI, OH (November 30, 2007) – Michelman has announced it will raise prices on its paper coating products an average of 4-6% in the Americas region, effective December 21, 2007.  Affected products include Coating X300, MaxWhite®, Michem® Coat, Nomar™, ThermaGloss®, VaporCoat®, and most other Michelman coating brands.

According to Mr. Bob Poletti, Vice President, Paper, “Our December price increase is due to rising chemical and energy costs, and forecasts for those costs to remain high for the foreseeable future.  We remain committed to providing our customers world-class products and service at competitive prices.”
