Michelman Presentation at ACCCSA 2014 Describes Sales Opportunities Created by Applying Coatings on Off-Line Coaters

CINCINNATI, OH (July 15, 2014) – Michelman’s Mr. Alex Arellano, Territory Manager for Michelman’s Paper Coatings Group, will present a paper at ACCCSA 2014 demonstrating how Michelman’s extensive line of best-in-class barrier and functional coatings applied on off-line coaters can produce new coated paper solutions and new sales opportunities for corrugators and paper converters.

Michelman will be exhibiting in Booth #15 at the ACCCSA 2014 convention being held July 27-30, 2014 in Cartagena, Colombia. Mr. Arellano’s presentation is entitled “The Off-line Coating Process”, and will cover the many benefits available to corrugators and paper convertors who apply coatings off-line, prior to corrugation.

The speed at which corrugators run can present quality and operational problems when trying to apply water-based coatings using an in-line coating process. These inherent problems limit the types of coatings that can be effectively applied, thereby limiting sales opportunities. The variety of Michelman barrier and functional coatings that can be effectively applied on an off-line coater are virtually limitless, opening new markets and new sales opportunities to the industry.
