CINCINNATI, OH (January 20, 2014) – Michelman will introduce new fiber sizings that comply with the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 repealing Directive 2002/72/EC at the JEC Europe Composites show taking place March 11-13, 2014 in Paris, France. The new PIM compliant solutions are ideal for sizing fiber that will be used in composites destined for applications including coffee machines, food processors and other appliances and kitchen items where food contact compliance is required. Michelman will be exhibiting in hall 7.3, booth M3.
Products being featured at the show are water-based polyurethanes and polypropylene dispersions that are APE and HAP-free, and exhibit good hydrolytic resistance and thermal stability. Visitors will see how the company’s focus on developing film former solutions with end-use applications and regulatory compliance in mind is benefiting its customers.
