General Summary

This position will support product development and technical service of customers by doing general lab work including preparation and testing of materials by working safely and effectively in laboratory setting, utilizing lab equipment to prepare and test samples. This position will be based in Singapore and report directly to the Senior Scientist.

Primary Responsibilities

• The primary responsibilities of the interns are:

  • Running laboratory reactors to make emulsion/dispersions

  Conducting basic laboratory testing such as pH, viscosity measurement, particle size analysis, UV meter, heat sealer, tensile tester etc

  • Conducting specified application test procedures e.g. OGR, Cobb test, etc
  • Documenting the testing records
  • Maintaining lab equipment in good working conditions and calibrate them routinely
  • Organizing and storing all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions

  Education and Experience:

  • ITE (Industrial Training Education), polytechnic or university students with background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Science.
