It provides a high degree of slip and scratch resistance and promotes adhesion between fibers and the polymeric matrices, improving mechanical (e.g., tensile) properties. The increased fiber-to-matrix adhesion is beneficial to pre-preg fabric for composites and multilayer systems that combine woven and non-woven materials.
