This dispersion provides outstanding adhesion to both metallic and cellulosic substrates and enhances the water, grease, oil, and solvent-resistance of coatings and adhesives. It can serve as a tie coat or primer for extrusion coatings, a foil laminate, specialty paper coating, paper sizing agent, heat sealable coating, and a nonwoven binder, and used as a thermally active binder in thermal transfer release coatings.
A low COF, heat seal coating suitable for application to paper or aluminum/paper laminated structures. Having a low COF makes this grade particularly suitable for use in high speed VFFS applications.
A general purpose A-A heat seal coating for sealing aluminum foil or paper to itself.
A low temperature heat seal coating for plastic films for flexible packaging applications.
Used for heat sealing applications offering low temperature seal initiation and stronger bonds to paper, metal (foil or metalized surface), various primed films such as matte, pearlized cavitated BOPP or BOPET films. It should be used with the addition of a wax emulsion to control the coefficient of friction (typically 2 to 4% by weight) e.g. Michem® Lube 160 RPH.
Provides excellent adhesion to paper and is heat sealable to polyolefins and paper. This coating is primarily used in medical device packaging.
A water-based heat seal coating designed for heat sealing with a variety of substrates over a wide temperature range. It is excellent for sealing through contamination and ideal for horizontal and vertical form fill seal applications that require high speeds, have temperature sensitive products, or have products that can contaminate seal areas.

A water-based primer designed for a variety of substrates used in multiple applications including extrusion lamination, extrusion coating, and applying other functional coatings such as PVDC, acrylics, etc. It is designed for high-abuse applications including liquids and chemicals by providing exceptionally high bond strength with excellent chemical and water resistance. Michem® Flex P1853R is approved for direct food contact and can be utilized as a heat seal coating adhering to a variety of materials such as film, paper, and metal.
Primer for metal and paper substrates promoting good adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in strong bond strength as well as excellent water and chemical resistance. It may also be used as a low temperature heat seal coating for bonding aluminum foil to itself or to paper.
